Ramsay Street says farewell Michelle
Kate Keltie, who plays Michelle Scully in the popular Aussie soap Neighbours, has shot her final episode.
The young starlet filmed her last scene in the show on Friday 20th December, three years after she first arrived on screen at the age of 13.
Michelle started her Neighbours life as the spoilt baby of the Scully household, manipulating all around her but she has since blossomed into a capable and level-headed young woman.
Her final scene, as she leaves Ramsay Street for pastures new, will reach British screens on 10th July, next year.
Holly Valance, who played Michelle's older sister Felicity, left the street to launch a pop career in the UK, following the likes of Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.
Kate said: "I've been here for three and a half years and it's time for something different. It's time for a change.
"Everyone's been asking me what my plans are and I don't know!... I'd say school or a bit of events management with my parents."
Kate and her parents organised the first Showbiz and Entertainment Expo in Melbourne earlier this year.
The two-day event was Kate's brainchild, which she dreamed up after being constantly asked for advice on breaking into the television industry.
When asked what the best part of working on Neighbours was, Kate didn't hesitate: "Just the people you meet. You meet some pretty cool people, and also getting to do something that I really like doing was great."
